is an expert at coaching human beings. There were
times when I would think 'It would take a miracle to
be able to ...' Today all those things are my reality.
I count my lucky stars that I met Lynda. Because of
working with her and her compassion, I love me more,
what I do more, and love life more. The whole world is
a brighter place."
Financial

just one session we developed 3 specific strategies to

and I created some powerful tools for dealing more
effectively with difficult sales situations. The

It
is especially gratifying how easily and naturally
these new tools become available to me just when I
need them to make a difficult phone call, or face a
resistant or hostile client."

other side of the coin to a problem."

'Case Studies' -- Eliminating Presentation
Anxiety
Case
1
An
upper level manager from a well known Silicon Valley high
tech firm requested coaching because she had an imminent,
very important presentation to deliver. She was to be
'Master of Ceremonies' at a conference where her people
were presenting a new technology.
Approximately
400 people would be attending. Although confident in
presenting to some smaller groups, she was terrified
about this conference. She was most concerned that, after
all the hard work her people had done, that she wouldn't
'do them justice', i.e. wouldn't be a good enough 'Master
of Ceremonies' to showcase their work favorably.
We
worked together for approximately four hours of coaching.
At the end of our last meeting (which was before the
conference), I requested that she call me afterwards, and
tell me how it went.
When
she got back from the conference, she called. "It went
extremely well," she said. "I had someone come up and
tell me I should be on television!"
Case
2
An
engineer, working for a well known East Coast company,
wanted coaching. He was new to his job, and badly
wanted to do well, but he was afraid to get up and
present what he knew. He loved the technical aspects of
his new job, and could easily explain and convince people
of his ideas when they sat down in a one to one meeting.
But, to stand up in front of his peers and managers
caused his voice to quaver and his hands would
shake.
We
worked together for approximately four hours of coaching.
Since he would be presenting some of his ideas at a
meeting in the week after our last meeting, I requested
that he call and let me know how it went.
He
called, very happy, very relieved. He said, "Now I can
get my ideas across. Now I can make a real
contribution."
Case
3
A
newly hired Vice President at a software company
requested coaching for presentation anxiety. He was
quite comfortable speaking to his staff, and to any group
under about 100 people.
His new
position as VP, however, would require him to speak to
groups up to 400 people. In this situation, he was quite
nervous.
Again,
we worked together for approximately four hours of
coaching. And, again, I requested that he call and let me
know how it went, after his next large
presentation
He
called, delighted with the results of our work. "Whatever
my concerns were before," he said, "They're gone
now!"
These
are typical of the results we get in our coaching program
for Eliminating Presentation Anxiety.
"First,
teach a person to develop to the point of his limitations
and then--pfft!--break the limitations."
